MOBILE MEDICAL CLINIC IN MORRIS TOWN:
What would you do if your child was sick, you had no money, and there was no hospital? Sadly, this scenario is reality for many people who live in Liberia’s remote towns and villages. Most of these people turn to the demonic secret society for answers to their problems.
Look at the scars on this woman’s arm. These "markings" are from the secret society. They promise to give prosperity, protection and good health.
Look at the rope around this baby’s waist. This rope came from the country doctor (witch doctor). Nearly every baby in the bush wears these ropes. A sacrifice was made to give this rope power to keep bad spirits away and to protect the child from sicknesses.
May 8th, the citizens of Morris Town came to God’s church rather than going to the country doctor for their health problems.
Our medical ministry works with our church planting team to bring the gospel and medical care to remote villages. Before the clinic started, Susan gave a health talk geared around improving the overall health of the community.
Our patients receive prayer four times before leaving the clinic. The first prayer came from Philip. Philip’s job is to prepare medical charts, take vitals, and pray for every patient.
The second prayer came from Cyrus. Minutes before going into the bush, Cyrus received a phone call informing him that his sister had passed away, unexpectedly. I encouraged Cyrus to stay home but Cyrus told me that he was committed to sharing the Gospel. Cyrus presented the gospel one on one with all 114 of our patients. Sixteen people gave their lives to Jesus. Cyrus is discipling a man named Harrison to start a church in Morris Town. Please keep Harrison in your prayers. He has been seriously sick for the past two months.
The third prayer came from our physician assistants after their diagnosis and treatment.
The final prayer came from our pharmacist named, Mercy. Thank you for making this ministry possible!
HIS SAFE HAVEN’S VILLAGE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS ORPHANS:
Construction of our special needs group homes was temporarily delayed due to frequent rain. This portion of our driveway became impassable until we hauled in four truck loads of gravel.
We built this temporary warehouse to store supplies.
We dug trenches for the foundation of our first group home.
All cement had to be mixed by hand.
We poured a footer.
We laid five courses of cement block.
We poured a steel reinforced tie beam to complete the foundation.
While construction is taking place, we have crews of people working behind the scenes, producing the building supplies we need. This man uses fire and a hammer to make gravel.

While waiting for the cement to cure on the first foundation, we dug trenches for the second group home.
You are up-to-date regarding His Safe Haven’s village for special needs orphans. Please keep this project in your prayers. To my knowledge, there are no doctors nor therapist in Liberia who specialize in special needs children. Our mission seeks to be Liberia’s go to mission when it comes to caring for these special children. After constructing this village, we pray we will be able to construct a medical clinic that specializes in ministering to children with special needs. We praise God for giving us all the resources we need to construct two group homes and one training center. We pray that we will be able to construct seven group homes in the next seven months.
