The mission of Jesus; “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9 NIV), is also our mission.
Our mission is that every village of Liberia will have a healthy church.  Most of the towns and villages of Liberia have no church.  We have worked in over 300 villages in 12 counties; there are 8,700 villages and towns in 15 counties. We made 56 mission trips, visiting 53 villages and other locations and we made many local mission trips.  We went into 2 new villages.  29 attended our 2 week Bible Institute.  We printed and distributed approximately 1,500 pages of teaching material, 37 were baptized and 18 completed our extensive Bible study program.  Several factors affect how many mission trips we can go on each month; illness, injuries, motorbikes repaired, the availability of gas and money are some.

Some highlights of the month
Wow!  Wow!! Wow!!!  What a blessed month!  The congregation of Fairview Missionary Church in Indiana donated to us $21,000 for motorbikes, upkeep, and gas.  This month we bought 10 new motorbikes that cost almost $10,000.  That leaves us with $11,000 which should keep them running and gassed up for a year or more.  One thing that kept us grounded many times was bike and gas issues.  Now we are free, unbound and have left the gates in a great mad gallop to reach Liberia for Christ.  To those who sacrificed for this gift we present to you our tears of gratitude, THANKS!

Wordsower Bible Institute: The second class of our Bible Institute have completed the course and have been sent out into their communities and the nation.  This class had 29 students from four counties. Our next class starts on Oct 21 and goes until Nov 1.  The class was consumed with passion, (passion is to suffer for a greater cause then themselves) and enthusiasm to take what they had learned as disciples to go wherever God leads them to make disciples who will also make disciples.  To go out as missionaries, evangelists and church planters.  An army is being formed, trained, and released.  The goal of a healthy church in every town and village of Liberia in our lifetime will be achieved!

Audio Lessons and Print

Shop update: Last month we started recording audio Bible lessons for training church leaders.  Imagine being in a country where there is no Christian literature.  You just imagined Liberia.  The only Christian literature I have seen in Liberia is what we distribute.  The audio lessons will be used for the illiterate and the printed lessons will be used for the literate.  The printshop we bought last month has been shipped to us.  We should receive it sometime in December.  We have found a cheep distributer of paper here in Liberia!  We will be buying bulk paper for between .006¢ & .007¢ a page!  The cost of ink is around $5 per 100,000 black and white pages.  Put this all together and it is a powerful tool for the Kingdom!  We believe God is giving us the tools for a church multiplication movement that will spread through Liberia and West Africa.

Prayer requests: I ask this often but please remember to pray for Liberia.  Pray that we would see a healthy church in every town and village within our lifetime.  Please also pray for our family’s health.  Last month we battled with sickness again.  Thank you for your prayers!
God Bless!
Don

Updates from Family Members:

Update from Christian:
Hi Friends and Family,
We had a pet monkey but it died.  We will get a new one.  We have lots of things to do here.  It is fun having chickens running around everywhere.  We made a basketball hoop.  It is really fun to play with.  It is made out of a tire that is nailed on to a board which has two boards that are cut in half nailed to the board.  We also have a stick nailed on that hooks to the tire to hold it up.  The tire is the basketball rim.  We have had more rain.  I enjoy living here because I feel like I have more freedom.  Our house in America was squeezed between other homes.  I felt crowded.  Now, I can play with my friends everyday which I could not do in the United States.  I can pet kittens anytime I want.  The hardest part of living here is getting sick.  I hate being sick because the last time I was sick, we don’t know exactly what I had but it lasted for a week.  I couldn’t get out of bed and I had a hard time going from the bench in my room to the back yard to use the bathroom.  When I was finished, I had to rest before I could walk back inside.  Sometimes the sickness makes me want to go home but after I am done being sick I never want to go back home.  I love riding the new motorbikes that we got.  My favorite thing to do here is play with my legos.  I love living here!  I love you all!  Goodbye!
Christian

Update from Grace:
God has been doing a lot of amazing things here.  He has showed me what it feels like to be poor.  I wish I could always be poor but I know cannot always be like this.  Africa is a very fun place.  It opened my heart up.  I know why I am here.  God sent me here for a reason.  The reason is being here for the mission.  God has done amazing things.  God is the best.  USA is not as much fun as here.  Africa is very fun.  I enjoy playing with Christian, Tommy, and Don.  I like playing with my friend Belfena, Wanetta, Junior, my friend Christian, Winka, and of course mommy and dad.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for our new motorbikes.  They have been a blessing.  We are hoping there will be a church in every town and village within our lifetime.
Love,
Grace

Update from Tommy:
Hi, I love you all really, really much!  We have been doing many things here in Africa.  Praise God we gave people houses and we saved a woman’s life.  I love you all more than you ever realize.  We have made a basketball hoop.  We play touch.  We play soccer sometimes.  Sometimes we play hopscotch.  I love you all really much.  One of my favorite animals here is my dogs.  It is because we pet them and they keep bad guys away.  We are going to be going fishing and we are going to be making African fishing poles.  We make Africa fishing poles with a piece of bamboo, fishing string, and a hook.  You tie the string to the pole and put a hook on and you have a fishing pole.  I miss you all really, really much.  I love you.  Goodbye.
Tommy

Update from Donny: (Pray for Don.  He is still missing USA).
I have friends in USA.  In America we have a family.  I liked our pet monkey but she died.  I miss my friends and family in America.  I love all the different towns here.  I have many friends in Africa.  I love my family.  I am having fun today.  Today, I had school and played with my family.  I hope to always be in Africa.  We bought 10 motorbikes.   I like riding the new motorbikes.  The old bikes were broken.  Now our missions go on mission nonstop.  I like that.  I think it is cool.  I love everyone in the United States a lot.  We have grass and trees all over the place all year long.  I love that.  I love my family.  We saved a woman’s life and a baby.  Our whole family has fun everyday.  I like it here in Africa.
Love,
Don
