Greetings from Liberia

This picture was taken from the guest house where we slept our first night in Monrovia
We are back in Liberia.  After buying supplies in Monrovia, we traveled to our home in Gbarnga where we were greeted by our dear missionary friends who had prepared dinner for us.  Since arriving eight days ago, we have been busy greeting all our Liberian friends, observing the various aspects of our ministry, preparing for the opening of our primary school, and settling back into our Liberian home.  I will share more details about these things in my next post.

We left the States with hearts full of gratitude.  God has been good beyond measure to our family and to the ministry He has called us to.  Thank you for the wonderful time we spent together.  Thank you for your prayers and your faithful support.

Prayer Requests:
1.  Please pray for Liberia's national elections.  Please pray for a peaceful transition of power.  Elections will be held October 10.

Gbarnga Christian Fellowship Primary School

2.  Answered Prayer:  The construction of our primary school is complete.  Thank you for building this school and for sponsoring many, many students!  Yesterday, our school was officially recognized by the Liberian government.  All our paperwork is in order and we are ready for the school to open after Liberia's elections.  Please pray for a strong start to the school year.

3.  Please pray for the Liberian people.  We are in Liberia's hunger months.  During this time, many parents will spend all their money, sending as many of their children to school as they can afford.  Please pray that God provides for these children who deeply desire to be educated.

Landa Sumo
4.  Please pray for Landa Sumo.  Landa is very sick.  She is currently being treated for Malaria, Typhoid, and TB.  Her lungs are full of fluid.  She needs our Saviors touch.
