Become a child advocate:  

We have 218 children who are on our sponsorship waiting list.  We need your help.  We are looking for people who are willing to help us find sponsors for children.  The goal of a child advocate is to help us find sponsors for 4 children.  For more information, write Don at don@hopeforhome.org .

Short Term and Long Term mission:  

Our ministry is growing.  We are praying that God would call more people to join our team through both short-term and longer-term missions.  For more information, write Don at don@hopeforhome.org.

Sponsor a Medical Clinic:

Cost: $250 monthly.  Each year, our mobile medical ministry treats thousands of people, saves lives and introduces people to Jesus.  Once a week, our medical team hosts a mobile medical clinic in either a local orphanage or in one of the churches we work with.  The goal of this ministry is to treat every orphan child in every orphanage in our area and to treat people in the bush who have little access to modern medicine.  Each of these weekly clinics costs $250.  We treat and minister to between 100 and 150 patience in each of these clinics.  Our church planting team tells us that the clinics make their churches “famous” in their bush towns and in the surrounding villages.  From start to finish, our mobile clinics are free for our patients.  

Sponsor a child:

Many children in Liberia are chronically sick, hungry and uneducated.  Child sponsorship is one of the greatest gifts these children could receive.  Through child sponsorship, children receive a high quality Christian education, free health care, and a meal served every day at school.

Help build a school:

Liberty Elementary School in Gbarnga: 

There are currently no needs.

Fairview Missionary School in Denta:

Dig a well:  Cost: $1,500.  I am wanting to wait a month of two for this project since rainy season just ended and the water table is high.  It is best to dig wells towards the end of dry season since many wells go dry during the dry season.  

Build a permanent school house:  Estimated cost: $20,000.  When we started the school in Denta, we built a temporary school house made from mud, stick, vine and thatch.  As the Lord provides, we plan to build a permanent school house.  Phase 1 of this project will be the construction of 8 class rooms, an office, and restrooms.  Each year, we plan to add an additional grade level to our school.  As we add additional grade levels, we will add additional classrooms.  For more information, contact Don at don@hopeforhome.org .

Sponsor a special needs orphan:

Special needs children, in Liberia, are among the world’s most destitute people.  Many Liberians believe these children are devils, demons and snakes.  Special needs children are viewed as a curse on the family.  Families with special needs children are viewed as a curse on the community.  Many special needs children are killed.  Our mission loves special needs children.  We seek to save as many children as we can.  We are building a village for special needs children.  This village has a therapy center, medical clinic, dinning hall, and several group homes.  

Cost: $100 a month.  Multiple people can sponsor one child to divide the cost. 

Each of these children need sponsors.  They were all in the process of being starved to death when we intervened.  

Sponsor a staff member at His Safe Haven Village:

We have a wonderful team of people who serve our special needs children.  We are seeking sponsors for the following employees.

Naomi:  

Cost: $100 monthly.  Multiple people can sponsor Naomi to divide the cost.

Naomi is blind.  She is a nanny.  Naomi’s job is to love on our children while they wait for their turn in our therapy center.  

Job:

Cost: $100 monthly.  Multiple people can sponsor Job to divide the cost.

Job is deaf.  Job is one of our land keepers.  Job and Amos are best friends.  They have a lot of fun  while they work  to make our land beautiful.  Job is a very hard worker.  

Amos:

Cost: $100 monthly.  Multiple people can sponsor Amos to divide the cost.

Amos is deaf.  Amos is one of our land keepers.  I have never seen Amos without a smile on his face.  He not only keeps our land beautiful but he and Job keep the atmosphere on our village joyful.  They are both a great delight.

Susan:

Cost: $550 monthly.  Multiple people can sponsor Susan to divide the cost. 

Susan is our head missionary physician assistant.  She plays a major role in our ministry.  Susan oversees our 2 permanent medical clinics, leads our mobile medical ministry and oversees His Safe Haven Village.  Susan is passionate about following Jesus and helping others come to know Him through her clinics.  God has used Susan to bring healing to thousands of people in remote towns and villages.  

Church Planting:

There are currently no needs in our church planting ministry.
