Pure Life Soap

Pure Life soap is in full production.  Praise God!  I pray God will use this business to provide income for several of our friends who are suffering.  Most of my friends do not eat everyday.  In Liberia, a good job pays $5 USD per day.  We pray that Pure Life Soap will provide a $5 USD income for all our field leaders.  By the end of the month, we will be providing income for 10 households.  Thank you for providing the startup money for this business.

We start making soap by burning 40 gallons of palm oil each day.

Next, we mix the soap.

Then the soap is poured into molds.  Each mold makes 100 bars of soap.

After the soap dries we cut it into loafs using this homemade cutting table.  We push a large brick of soap through the cutter.  The cutter cuts each brick into 5 loafs.  The soap is cut by 5 wires that are tightly strung.

The soap is then cut into bars and stamped with Pure Life Soap's logo.  We make two types of soap, Iron soap and Blue soap.  These soaps are the most popular soaps in Liberia and are used for washing cloths, washing dishes, and bathing.

Last, the soap is put into wood crates and sold out of wheelbarrows.  Each wheelbarrow is assigned a rout in Zwedru for selling.  Next week, we will begin selling soap at PTP refugee camp.  This will provide income for several Ivorian refugees.

This week, we produced 400 bars of soap each day.  Next week, we are hoping to double our production.  Please pray that the soap business would be successful.  100% of its profits go to Liberians.
